A representative group of 65 Marists will meet at the Hermitage, Mittagong on August 20-23. The delegate list was arrived at having considered criteria such as age, gender, Brothers, geographical areas, ministries and ex-officio attendees. An alternative list of 65 would be equally fitting! There are many fine people who are not attending the Mission Assembly, who will play a critical role in enlivening and enacting key messages and priorities that emerge.
The main message from the Mission Assembly is anticipated to be communicated as 'the beginning of a dialogue', which will be taken up with all people in the Marist Association over the ensuing six months. It will culminate with a written document to coincide the bicentenary of the Fourviere pledge on July 23, 2016.
