St. Marcellin Champagnat, the founder of the Marist Brothers, is celebrated in the Catholic Church on 6 June.

ANNUAL MOMENT OF RENEWAL for Members of the Marist Association
Traditionally, the Marist Association of St Marcellin Champagnat marks the occasion of Champagnat Day with an Annual Moment of Renewal. This gives us a chance to renew our call to be Members of the Association in a prayerful and reflective way, and recommit ourselves to following St. Marcellin as contemporary witnesses to Jesus, recognising that we become streams of living water for others.
