Feast Day of St. Marcellin Champagnat Catholic College Sale

In this the 200th Anniversary of the establishment of the first Marist community, this was a special day of celebration and commemoration for our College.

A whole school Mass in the morning was followed by an ‘In the Footsteps of St. Marcellin Champagnat Walk’ around the two city lakes in Sale.

Each student and staff member was issued with a ‘Pilgrims’ booklet containing ten significant events in Marcellin’s life. As the walkers progressed around the route they encountered the ten events, marked by a sign and picture depicting the event. Their booklets were stamped with the image of the Bicentennial pin, they were then on their way to the next stop.

At the conclusion of the walk each walker was issued with a Marist Bicentennial pin. It was a great day in celebrating our College Marist heritage and building our community.
